Who is doing what
Govt. of Chhatishgarh as regards to policies and implementation of biofuel programme in an integrated manner as under:
1. During this raining season about 5 Core Jatropha s sampling have been distributed to farmers for planting the same on their fallon lands as also planting by various agencies/departments.
For the current year, programme for raising & gore Jatropha sapling was taken up on farms/nurseries of various Govt. agencies such as forest, Agriculture, CREDA.
Next year's programme for raising Jatropha saplings and their plantation on fallow land belonging to farmers is 16 crores
2. i) 95 farmers training have been organized at various places for training them in Jatropha Cultivation about 1000 farmers have been trained.
ii) 156 programmes in 6 districts have so far been organized through Lok Kala Jatha ( Local Artist Troups) for sensitizing farmers in local Chattisgarhi language regarding various economic and social benefits of Jatropha.
3. CBDA has set up 1KL per day biodiesel manufacturing plant at Raipur and the same has started production also after due bials
4. 2000 liters of biodiesel has been used in the departmental vehickes including CM's official vehicle, departmental vehicles, school buses and public transport

5. Fallon land is being offered on lease to private entrepreneur to undertake jatropha plantation and also to put up biodiesel plant of appropriate capacity.More than 110 applications have been received so far from private investors out of which in 50 congestion is being taken for allotting almost 7000 hectares of land

6. Chatisgarh Biofuels Development Authority (CBDA) has brought out following pamphlets/ handputs for use of investors, farmers, people in general for promotion of biofuel:
a) Ratanjot (Jatropha)
b) Biofuel vision of Chhatisgarh
c) Jatropha plantation Manual
d) Biodiesel vehicle operation
