HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CDM PROJECT ON BIO-DIESEL
SUBMITTED BY PCRA TO MOEF ON 12.9.05

| (A)
SCHEME |
· Farmers - 10,000
· Working on 20000 Ha of Jatropha plantation
· Oil Expellers - 1,000
· Bio-diesel producers operating in the medium scale
capacity i.e. 1 ton per day - 100
· Bio-diesel production per year - 30,000 KL
· CER points generated 1.5 lakhs. Total money generated
= 5 crores @ $ 7 per CER.

MODUS OPERANDI |
| PCRA will identify and promote
the bio-diesel manufactures and maintain the record of all the
other stakeholders and the oil expellers and farmers, buyers,
ultimate consumers etc. |

SHARING OF MONEY GENERATED |
| Distribution to the beneficiaries
is proposed as below:
· 45% to the farmers
· 5 % to the concerned Gram Panchayat
· 10 % to the Expellers
· 20% to Bio-diesel producers
· 10% to PCRA for handling charges (a special cell
will be created in PCRA which will work as SPV for this purpose)
· 10% for separate development fund to be created by
PCRA for Training, HRD, Awards, incentives, legal processing
expenses.

At above rates
A farmer will get nearly Rs.1000/- per hectare per annum.
Each expeller gets Rs.5/- per ton &
Transesterifier Rs.0.33 per litre.

The CDM projects are presently approved till March 2012.
