ODANTHURAI PANCHAYAT

A nightsoil gassifier
plant is installed by Panchayat.The panchayat had built 130
group houses for the backward communities and supplies free
gas for cooking for 20 houses.

| This gassifier is
owned by the Odanthurai Panchayat (Coimbatore District).It is
used to pump water from the nearby river. |
| The Capacity of the
plant is 9 kw. It is wood based . chopped firewood is gassified
before being fed into the DG Set. It is located at the foothill
of Ooty, which is way from coimbatore by 55 km The supplier
of the plant is M/s Ankur Scientific Technologies Pvt Ltd.,
Baroda. |
| DRDA is giving Rs
15000/kw . Another 30 such units are planned in Coimbatore with
the help of DRDA. |
