Tree Oils India Ltd. (Tree OIL) was established in 2003 to develop environment friendly and sustainable energy system based on plant sources, contribute to waste lands utilization and rural women employment. Tree OIL is primarily engaged in manufacture of Biodiesel from Non-Edible Tree Oils such as Jatropha and Pongamia etc.
Activities
Tree OIL established Plantation in 120 Acres of Waste Land, in Mogudampally Village of Zaheerabad Mandal, Medak District of Andhra Pradesh, India. The Company proposes to set up Expeller unit near Zaheerabad, immediately, followed by 2 Tonnes per Day capacity Biodiesel plant, depending upon the availability of seed. In due course, the Company proposes to set up number of such units in different parts of the country and network them.

The existing plantation has Pongamia and Jatropha and other hardy trees and inter crops that would improve Biodiversity, mitigate risk and ensure regular income from first year itself. The Company proposes to set up Collection Centres to facilitate collection of Pongamia and Neem seeds, available in wild, mainly through landless labourers. The company also plans to tie up with farmers through contract farming and execute plantation projects on turnkey basis. It also would like to support Research and Extension activities for increasing the production of Tree Based Oils in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharastra.
