Vrindavan Bio-Fuels Pvt.Ltd. (VBL), based in Chikodi, Karnataka is a professional company established in 2005. The company is dedicated to the sole purpose of catering to the energy security needs of the country by tapping the alternate energy sources. The company's team consists of progressive farmers, botanists, agronomist and economist dedicated to the development of Bio-Fuels.

VBL has undertaken cultivation of Jatropha curcas in large tracts of land in Chikodi. A model plantation of Jatropha is already in place. The company also has a well-developed nursery to cater to their own plantation needs as well as to supply high yielding elite seedlings to organizations who undertake similar activity. The distinct variety of seedlings have been developed using the patented technology from Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI) by using mycorrhiza as a natural inoculant which gives first yield after seven to eight months of cultivation.
