Who is doing what

Agriculture Department has taken up programme of extension of cultivation of Bharanda Plants in the following ways -
1. The state Govt.'s policy is that the Bharanda will be tried only in waste and degraded lands.
2. By establishment of model plantations and Nurseries for rising planting materials in the farms owned by Deptt. Of Agriculture.
3. Training of farmers, Agril. Officiers on cultivation methodology State level in states Agril. Training center Naremsapur. One day duration on package of practies. Awareness creation, necessity, utility.
4. Steps taken to procure the seeds from tropical forest Research Institute (ICFRE). RFRC, Mandla Road, Jabbalpur, M.P. But high cost @Rs. 35/- per kg. Actual cost per Kg. Shall exceed Rs. 45/- at West Bengal. This need be reduced.
5. After raising the seedlings shall be supplied to the farmers for growing in marginal land as also as fencing everywhere. The extension shall take place from coming year.
